Frequently Asked Questions
What age is this class for?
Our current group classes are designed for children aged 4 to 6, with activities, pacing, and teaching methods tailored specifically to this developmental stage. We’re also planning to introduce classes for older age groups in the near future — so stay tuned!
Will my child fall behind in a group class?
Not at all. Every child learns at their own pace. During piano time, students are assisted with short, teacher-created video steps and raise their hand when they’re ready for feedback. This ensures your child is always working on material that’s right for them — not the group average.
What if my child is shy or nervous?
That’s completely okay — many children are! Our small-group format is warm, well-structured, and designed to help quieter students feel safe, supported, and included. There’s no pressure to perform, and no one is ever put on the spot.
Do we need a piano at home?
Having a piano or digital keyboard at home is strongly recommended to help your child make steady progress — but it’s not essential to get started. Many families begin without one and decide to invest after a few lessons. We’re happy to recommend affordable, beginner-friendly options when you’re ready.
How will I know my child is improving?
Since you’ll be in the room for every lesson, you’ll see your child’s progress firsthand — from their growing confidence to the new pieces they’re able to play. We also track each student’s development and offer regular feedback to help you understand how they’re progressing over time.
Do I need to stay in the room during the lesson?
Yes — a parent or carer must remain in the room for the full class. This helps your child feel emotionally secure, supports smooth group dynamics, and gives you a front-row seat to your child’s musical journey. You won’t need to participate — just be present.
How many children are in each class?
We keep group sizes small — a maximum of 5 students per class. This ensures every child receives personal attention, stays engaged, and feels like a valued part of the group.
Still wondering if it’s right for your child?
The best way to find out is to come and try it.
