Frequently Asked Questions
What age is this class for?
Our current group classes are designed for children aged 4+, with activities, pacing, and teaching methods tailored specifically to this developmental stage.
Will my child fall behind in a group class?
Not at all. Every child learns at their own pace. During piano time, students are assisted with short, teacher-created interactive digital learning tools and indicate when theyβre ready for 1-2-1 feedback. This ensures your child is always working on material thatβs right for them β not the group average.
What if my child is shy or nervous?
Thatβs completely okay β many children are! Our small-group format is warm, well-structured, and designed to help quieter students feel safe, supported, and included. Thereβs no pressure to perform, and no one is ever put on the spot.
Do we need a piano at home?
Having a piano or digital keyboard at home is strongly recommended to help your child make steady progress β but itβs not essential to get started. Many families begin without one and decide to invest after a few lessons. Weβre happy to recommend affordable, beginner-friendly options when youβre ready.
How will I know my child is improving?
Since youβll be in the room for every lesson, youβll see your childβs progress firsthand β from their growing confidence to the new pieces theyβre able to play. We also track each studentβs development and offer regular feedback to help you understand how theyβre progressing over time.
Do I need to stay in the room during the lesson?
We prefer if a parent or carer remains in the room for the full class. This helps your child feel emotionally secure, supports smooth group dynamics, and gives you a front-row seat to your childβs musical journey. You wonβt need to participate β just be present.
How many children are in each class?
We keep group sizes small β a maximum of 5 students per class. This ensures every child receives personal attention, stays engaged, and feels like a valued part of the group.
Still wondering if itβs right for your child?
The best way to find out is to come and try it.
